ICSA Qualifying Programme Exemptions and Fast Track Routes

The Qualifying Programme from July 2019 consists of 7 modules plus a Foundation Programme

Entry Routes:

Foundation Entry

Open entry route requiring no previous experience and prepareing students to meet the demands of study at Part One of the qualifying programme. It is for students who do not have a university degree in law or finance or equivalent qualification to be eligible for Part One entry. It is also required if students have a degree but without law or finance content.

Part One Entry

This route comprises all Part One and Part Two modules and is for those who have:

Completed an HND in Law, Accounting
HND, degree or above in Business Management
Completed an ICSA Level 5 Diploma in International Finance and Administration (IFA) or Diploma in Offshore Finance and Administration (DOFA)
Have a degree (not law- or finance-related) plus five or more years’ experience in a company secretary-related role.

Law or Finance Exemption Routes

Degree Route – If you have a degree in law or finance you may be eligible for exemption from specific modules.
Professional Route - Qualified accountants or lawyers with up to five years’ professional experience may apply for exemption from specific modules.

Fast Track Route

Fast Track Professional – If you are a qualified accountant or lawyer with more than five years’ relevant professional experience, you may be eligible for the fast track professional route, requiring you to complete just two modules.
