All four Professional level courses have the following in common: To prepare candidates for the ICSA examinations by concentrated, directed, distance learning courses of twelve weeks covering the complete syllabus.

METHOD: By directed reading; by specially written distance learning notes from Campbell's College; by completing past exam questions on a weekly basis and their quick return including a marking code; by phone availability as agreed between candidate and lecturer.

Corporate Law

Lecturer: Alan Campbell

Text book provided: You will receive the ICSA manual directly from the ICSA when you register with them for this subject. We will provide the following additional texts: Company Law Key Facts and Company Law Key Cases.

Note:  Companies Act - This course will teach to the law as it stands at November 2010

Mailing One: Companies, Memorandum of Association, Corporate Seal, Criminal liability

Mailing Two: The Promoter, The Prospectus, The stock market and shares, capital maintenance, financial assistance, borrowing

Mailing Three: Directors, The company secretary, auditors, articles of association

Mailing Four: Meetings, minority protection, insider dealing, dissolution & insolvency, reconstructions, take-overs, CVA & Administration orders, insolvency practitioner, winding up, the liquidator

Past questions:  With each mailing we will include sample examination questions relating to the subjects. We suggest that at the end of each week you attempt one question we set. Use whatever system you wish i.e. examination conditions, model answers or open book. The only requirement we would set is a request that it be no longer than the type of answer you would provide in an examination.

Financial Accounting

Mailing Three: earnings per share, ration analysis, foreign currency, translation, value added statements
