Now that I have proved I still have brain cells, it's time to find a job!
Many thanks for all you help. I wish you continued success.
I have to
say that I Alan and Jim have been fantastic and the student friends I have
met through Campbells have been a big factor in keeping up the spirits and
have been of massive support. It is only those who study with you that
truly understand how you are feeling - the nice thing is that all my
close friends will be doing CFM in November and given we are all words
people, not numbers the support from those friends, coupled with Campbells
courses and revision will be absolutely priceless.
I hope
that you are hearing from lots of happy people today and not too many sad.
Tonia
I have
just received a certificate from you on completion of my ICSA exams. I
wanted to say thank you - it was a very lovely and thoughtful gesture.I
would also like to add that I have found the courses run by Campbell's
invaluable in my studying. Thank you, Marisa (Grad ICSA!!!!!)
Just wanted to drop you a line following my
exam to say thanks for all your support, in particular to Jen who was a
"Star". She kept me focused through a highly pressured time Course
material was fantastic and Alan those exam tips were brill - managed to have
a go at the case study and pick three questions from section B comfortably.
My gut feeling when I came out of the exam was "it could have been a lot
worse". I hope I've done enough to get through and do you all proud - if
not there is always June 05! Wendy
Received
my results in the post yesterday and can confirm that I passed with
distinction. I would be grateful if you could pass my thanks on to Jim as
his revision course really gave me the confidence I needed to go into the
exam with the right frame of mind. I would also say that I followed his tip
to do a couple of profit & loss and balance sheet exercises a day in the run
up to the exam and although at the time they frustrated me no end as I could
never get my balance sheets to "balance"!! I am certain that it really paid
off as I felt I was able to "breeze" through the p & l and balance sheet
question in the exam and even got it to balance! Fiona
Dear Alan, I am very happy to inform you that I
finally passed the Corporate Governance Paper. Words are not enough to thank
you for everything you have done for me during my study for ICSA Qualifying
Scheme. You have always been very attentive to all my requests and
questions, I will surely, never forget the tremendous contribution of
Campbell’s College in my success – Starting June 1999 with Jennifer Rose
(Jen) among us for revision QT, IS & BE; your visit in May 2000 enabled me
to pass Business Law at the first attempt and whilst it was quite difficult
for you or someone from Campbell’s to come again for revision I have always
been given the facility to get the revision by e-mail. Corporate Governance
was the last hurdle I had to cross to reach the finishing line, which now
gives me a new start. I am very thankful to you Alan, Jen, Ruma, Jane
Hamilton, Jim and everybody at Campbell’s College.
The ICSA qualification is no doubt a tough
discipline and going through it make you even tougher in your determination
to succeed. Rajeshwar
Hey guys - i got a merit in CFM and just
QUALIFIED. Yipee! thanks for all your help over the years.
Dena
I have just received news that I have passed my final exam - Corporate
Administration. I have attended three of your revision courses over the
past twelve months and passed all my exams first time. Your strategy for
the Corporate Governance exam clearly worked as I gained a merit. You were
also enormously helpful when I was trying to decide whether to take the
ICSA route as a springboard to a second career. Wendy
Hope you heard my scream cause I passed both
exams and Management Accounting with a distinction!!!!! Will revert as to
which subjects to attempt now. At least there is only 2 to go before I am
finished!!!
Dear Jane I’m delighted to
tell say that yesterday (Friday 13th) I found out that I had passed my
Management Accounting exam and qualified to boot. Could you please pass on
my thanks to Jim Skinner for his helpful revision techniques and to Alan for
his unending confidence, optimism and support at the revision course.
Regards Sharon
Dear Alan, I just wanted firstly to let you know I got a
merit in corporate governance and a pass in corporate financial
management. I have now passed all my exams and can be let loose on the
unsuspecting business community. More importantly I wanted to say a big
thank you for your unstinting support which I greatly appreciated. You
always marked my work quickly and positively and I couldn't ask for any
more. I will sing Campbell College's praises whenever I meet any budding
company secretaries. I am thrilled with a merit in CG. The subject is
important but I could never work out whether the examiner would be
interested in the big picture or the minutia of the code. Thankfully that
is now irrelevant!
I am now
going skiing to chill out! Best wishes to you and Jane and keep up the
good work with your other students. Alison
Alan / Jim Thank you so much - I finally
passed my Management Accounts at the third attempt - I really don't know
why I bothered with the other course providers, I should have come
straight to you. I know I didn't actually speak to Jim during the last
session but the notes & marking of questions were so clear and easy to
understand, it was much easier this time - two Fail C's and finally a
pass. I am ecstatic. Helena
Jane: Well, what can I say? Campbell's
College came through for me! I got a Merit in the Financial Accounting
December 2003 exam! Give my regards to Jim and the rest of the school. I
really didn't expect much from a distance education programme but Jim was
particularly perceptive in identifying the key issues and focusing on them.
Sean
I would just like to say an enormous thank you
to you and your team for getting me through the ICSA papers. I have just
passed my final exam, CFM, which is entirely attributable to Tony Jenkins'
patience and guidance on the revision course. I don't know how he did it
but it worked! I will continue recommend your winning formula to anyone
prepared to listen - I really couldn't have done it without you! Many
thanks and best regards Sally
Dear Alan,
Thanks to your admirable course I seem to
have passed this time! I was buying icecreams (99) for my grandson
the other day and thought of you - will I ever forget it? I am still
puzzled by the advice regarding Aunty Polly's parrot in your exam
technique section. What was that about? John
Dear Jane & Alan I am delighted to inform that
I passed Corporate Governance at the December sitting. I have completed
the 4 professional subjects at the last 3 sittings.
My sincere gratitude to you for your
assistance and guidance. Your methods of teaching and subject presentation
have been successful for me - I have no reservations about recommending Campbells
College to anyone. It is a relief to have completed all the exams but I
will miss the revision classes - they were without exception excellent.
John
Alan,
Just a quick e-mail to let you know that another of your students has
completed the ICSA course. It feels like being released from
prison!!
I used to go to ...........School of Business but
started to fail some of the units. So I attended
Campbell's College revision classes for 3
subjects:
Financial Accounting Professional Admin,
Corporate Financial Management (this one for Nov 02 exams)
Each one I passed after the classes so I cannot thank you, Jim Skinner and
Tony Jenkins enough. Hope many others did
as well as me. Thanks again
Jon

Dear Alan & Jane,
Just a very quick email to say I managed to pass my Corporate Financial
Management exam for the second time of sitting, which means I am
delighted to say that I have now passed all of the required exams and
can use the initials GradICSA after my name, that is until I apply to
become an associate member.
It is thanks to you, your study materials and support and excellent
ecturers that I have achieved this. I found the complete package
offered by Campbells college second to none and would happily
recommend
it to anyone. Thanks again for all the help
afforded to me over the last two years.
With kindest regards Rebecca
Dear Alan, Jane and team,
A big thank you for getting me through PA with Merit (3rd time lucky).
Boy, am I glad that I won't have to re-sit the damn exam again this
June. Obviously my inclusion of Kentucky Fried Chicken did me no harm!
Unfortunately, I was not so lucky with CFM, but I was treating it more
as a practice run anyway. Kind Regards,
Alex
Dear Jim, Left a
message with your wife, but just wanted to reiterate - a very big thank
you for all your help and support during last term. I was bowled over
when I got my result - I never expected to get a Distinction - and back in
August when I first spoke to Alan I knew I wouldn't even be able to
pass with just the course book. So a very big thank you for getting me
over the hurdles and through the obstacles!
All the very
best in the future - and if you need a reference/testimonial etc for
future potential students don't hesitate to ask!
With very
best wishes, and very much gratitude Blessings
to you and your family Will
Hi Tony !
I hope you are OK. I got my ICSA results on
Sunday and I managed to pass CFM with a merit ! I
think I am still in shock ! Therefore, I am writing to say a HUGE
thank you to you for all the time and assistance
you gave me - I can honestly say that
I couldn't have done it without you !
Thanks again. Karen
Dear All
I have had my results today along with everyone else so I am sure you are
being bombarded!
I passed all three that I took in November (got MIS in May 2002):
Business Law,
Management Principles,
Introduction to Accounts (second time lucky - got a merit this time Jim)
Thank you all so much for you support, I know that I have not really been
in contact with you very much apart from assignments but without the
guidance you have provided and revision I know I would not have achieved
what with trying to juggle family, full time job and study.
The revision courses have been fantastic (I will be in touch Jane for May
2003) and have got me ready for the exams as well as allowing me to meet
new people who are studying as well. I will see you at the next one Jim
as I am tackling Financial Accounting and I will also meet Alan for the
first time as I am also doing SOM this time.
Thanks again - this means a pay rise for me as I have staged increases as
I pass each of the four sections and will ultimately become the Group
Company Secretary.
I know I have eight left but today I am ecstatic!!!!
Tonia
Dear Jane
Just to let you know that I qualified!!! *scream* and another *scream*. I
would like to thank you and Alan and also the support I received whilst
doing the ICSA course!
There was times I nearly thought I would never get it but today I am glad
that I did not give up... its a such a wonderful feeling to know that I
can now concentrate on more important things such as Arsenal winning the
'triple'?! Kind regards
Am
Dear Jane, Just a
quick note to let you know that I passed CFM - with a merit !! - and
that's the last ever exam I'll have to do because now I'm qualified -
yippee !! Please do pass on my thanks to Tony who helped me through the
last exam.
Please also
pass on my sincere thanks to Jim Skinner - I'm an absolute 'plank' when
it comes to accounts, but his patience ensured that I passed my
Financial Accounts first time - an absolute miracle, believe me !!
Many thanks
to everyone at Campbells (and also especially to Alan who was so helpful
/ cheerful whenever I spoke to him.) Trish
Hi Alan
Just a quick note to share with you my
PASS in Professional Administration. I am
ridiculously pleased with myself! Thank you for the invaluable notes,
emails and pep talks that really helped me on
my way. The thing that really struck a cord was your advice on the
fact that this module was not about 'making the decision' but
providing the 'tools/processes/practices' to
enable good decisions to be made by others.
This really made the difference for me (with my old MBA head on!)
Thanks again - I plan to register for my next course shortly and
I hope I can use Campbell's College. I'll
either tackle Corporate Administration or
Corporate Financial Management. Kind regards,
Michele
QUALIFIED! QUALIFIED!
Dear Alan and Jane,
I am qualified!!! Just got the results for FA and CFT, and by some miracle passed them
both, so I am now completely done with studying (for ever). It seemed as though it would
never end at times, and I am amazed it finally has. Thanks very much for all your help
over the last 2 years, and please pass on my regards to Jim Skinner and Tony Jenkins, who
made me believe that I could still pass financial subjects via distance learning, even
though transatlantic was probably even more distant than they were used to..
Going to the pub on the way home, I shall raise a glass for you!
Thanks, Sonia
Dear Alan & Jane,
I was on holiday in Guernsey last week and was sorely tempted to seek an internet cafe so
that I could try to obtain my ICSA result on-line. But I resisted the temptation....
Back at work today, the first thing I did was hit the ICSA website and key in my candidate
number. Hallelujah! I've passed CFT!! I've qualified!!! Now to download
the ACIS application form....
A VERY BIG "thank you" to Campbell's College for getting me over this last
hurdle.
Mark
Tony,
I don't quite know how you did it, but you managed to cram enough knowledge in my head for
me to pass CFT!!! It was my final exam, so I am done with studying for a long time.
Many thanks for all you help and encouragement,
Jude
Dear Alan,
I'm delighted to be able to tell you that I've now passed my last subject and have finally
qualified. After four years of study, I don't know how I'm going to fill my time.....
I just wanted to thank you and your team very much for making what seemed at times an
arduous task all the more achievable. I managed to pass all the exams first time and
attribute that in no small part to the excellent tuition provided in all your distance
learning and revision courses.
Please accept my very best wishes and grateful thanks.
Best regards Barbara
Dear Alan & Jane
Campbell's College first came to my
attention via a recommendation from a fellow student during a wet and windy walk to the
Underground one winter evening following a particularly dull evening class session.
I was depressed - the exams appeared to stretch beyond the horizon before me.
One call to Alan Campbell cured that; a totally professional approach to his subject
matter, together with an infectious enthusiasm for all the ICSA exam subjects and I
was hooked. Now to say that I actually enjoyed studying would put me in the
certifiable category rather than the Graduate category which I have just achieved, but the
encouragement you will receive from Alan, Jane and all the other lecturers who work with
Alan will see you through.
If you are reading this as someone who is
thinking of starting the ICSA course, or you are somewhere in the middle, I can thoroughly
recommend Campbell's College to you. Sign up, work hard and succeed!
Alex
Dear Alan
Q. Whats the difference between a fail and
a distinction?
A. Campbells College.
Yes the results came on Saturday and contrary to all expectation not only
did I pass PA but did so with Distinction.
B****y marvellous.
Couldn't have done it without your excellent revision course - remember the
state I was in after the nightmare months of (name of another college) study? I
wholeheartedly believe that the one thing that made the difference was two very hot days
in
May on your course.
With very best regards and enormous thanks. Liz
Dear Alan & Jane
Just a short note to say thank you for the courses you have provided over the past two
years. I am please to say that I have now completed the ICSA professional programme after
successfully passing Professional Administration & CFT this time round.
Whilst I have not completed all eight courses with you (mainly due to the need to have the
discipline of attending weekly lectures so I could not hide my head in the sand when it
came to issues of a financial manner) I would like to thank you both and all the course
tutors for the excellent study & revision courses you have provided. Although I have
preferred to work
at my own pace and not been a model student as I have not submitted essays, your
course notes allowed me to find a study mode that worked for me and was successful too -
all eight exams have been passed first time with a merit in Management Practice and
Management Accounting.
I would also like to thank Alan for inspiring me with his enthusiasm to follow the
programme when he answered my initial telephone call about ICSA and your courses. At the
time you suggested which order I should study the exams and I have duly followed your
advice with success.
Thank you again, I will keep browsing the web to follow the college news.
Kind Regards Sarah
Dear Alan
Congratulations, you've finally done
it!!!!!!
Yes, you've finally got me through the last
of the ICSA Exams. I managed a pass in Management Practice. The threat of Tony descending
on me from a great height for spoiling his statistics was all the motivation that I
needed. Graduation, however is a really strange feeling, or is it a hangover from last
night. On a serious note, no doubt like many others before, I could not have finished
without the help and support I received from you and the other Tutors at Campbells College
over the last few years. A sincere thank you to all concerned.
Thanks again Cliff

Dear Jane
Can you pass on my thanks to Jim Skinner, I am sure it was his expert tuition that got me
through the IA paper!! Despite their assurances, I have yet to receive my results from the
ICSA but the IPA have confirmed that I passed. IA and Business Law which I sat in December
were the only ICSA papers I needed to do so thanks to you and Alan as well for all your
help and a 100% success rate!!
I shall recommend you to all my friends who may need to do the early entry
exams!
Kind regards Claire
Alan and Jane,
I was genuinely staggered when I
opened up the envelope from the ICSA this evening to find that I had passed Financial
Accounting !! Not because I doubted the quality of your tuition, but because of the time I
had managed to put into studying !! Am not sure what visibility you get of the exam
results, so thought I would let you know - as well as passing on my thanks. I will ring
Jim to tell him and say thanks, but perhaps you let him know as well.
Am just starting to get into CFT, but now
have a real boost to go on and get that as well !
Many Thanks Nigel
Alan!
Many thanks for your help... I had failed Law twice and was beginning to give hope of ever
passing this subject. All my work colleagues are over the moon for me as they couldn't
believe I was struggling with this subject...
it really was down to exam technique.
Thanks again... your notes were useful and better than reading the BPP
manual! Kind regards Am
Dear Alan
I refer to your letter of the 31 July 2000
inviting me to enrol with Campbell's College once again.
Whilst I would without hesitation enrol
once more with you I am very pleased to report that I achieved a pass in both the
Professional Administration and Financial Accounting papers, and these being the last two
papers required, I have no more papers to sit!
My passing the two papers was in no small
way due to your and Jim Skinner's excellent course work and from the support, guidance and
feedback received during the courses, as well as the excellent revision courses which were
in themselves invaluable.
I would recommend your college to anybody
attempting the ICSA programme. Your revision courses are also a must for everybody as they
not only covered the required course material but also taught the required exam technique
and emphasised how the exams should be approached. They without doubt gave me the
necessary confidence to enable me to tackle the exams.
Thank you to you both and I wish you and
your team all the very best for the future and may your successes continue.
With very best regards Basil
Alan
The next time you are in Jersey, it would give me great pleasure to buy you dinner if you
happen to be available. The reason for such generosity -merits in Management Practice,
Company Secretarial Practice and Management Accounting and a distinction in Corporate Law,
all in the June, 2001sitting. Quite a surprise, all in all, but a relief to have all the
exams over and done with!
Regards Daniel
Jane I thought it would
be good to let you know that, having been on Jim Skinner's revision course for IA, I
passed the exam with a MERIT - yippee!! That was my third attempt - the first time I got a
grade c fail, the second time I got very cold feet and didn't even attend the exam hall
and now this - you can't guess how delighted I am. Please pass on my thanks to Jim - he's
excellent and I have recommended him to all my friends so I hope they shall be coming your
way. I certainly shall be for other financial papers in the future. I will be sending in
the post tomorrow registration for Management Practice distance learning and revision and
Corporate Finance revision courses so shall continue my association with Campbell's.
Thanks again for helping me. Nicky
Dear Alan - hooray, the exam results
came at least.... I got a pass mark for
Management practice, and a distinction for PA, which I am dead chuffed about! Does
this mean I get to go on to the board of shame/fame??
Thank you for your help with the exams! Hannah
Dear Alan- Just a quick note to let you know that I managed to
pass my Professional Admin exam with a merit. I've struggled with passing this exam in the
past, so it felt great to finally get through and getting the merit was the icing on the
cake! Thanks for all your help. Best wishes Spenta
Alan - Just to let you all know that I passed my Business Law exam. I would just like to
say thank you for the help that you gave me. Your courses are superb and are an excellent
way of learning - for me anyway!
Thanks especially to Alan for the words of advice and the support he gave to me.
Some would think achieving only a pass (and not a merit or distinction) is ok but at
the end of the day when you are not 100% confident in passing it in the first place then a
pass is superb!!
thanks again - I do honestly mean it! Paul
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR MESSAGES - WE REALLY APPRECIATE HEARING FROM YOU - Jane
