ICSA Certificate in Company
Secretarial Practice
This new syllabus
certificate is being developed by Campbell's College after consultation with
employers in the UK and the UAE. We plan to start in February 2011 in
the UK. Course in UAE to follow.
Students will need to complete four
modules:
1. Company Secretarial
Practice
2. The Law & Practice
of Resolutions & Meetings
3. The Law of Trusts
4. Share Registration
Practice
Each module will take 12 weeks and will
consist of a lecture day to start the course, followed by weekly study units
delivered by email.
Assessment will be by
a two-hour written examination and two “in-tray assignments”
during the twelve weeks. The marks will be awarded 80% to exam and 10% to
each in-tray assignment. An in-tray assignment will be a collection of
administrative problems based on the material covered that the student will
need to solve using all the resources available.
Students must attain a
suitable level before being awarded the certificate. This insures they will
be able to execute the basic company secretarial functions together with an
understanding of the more advance material.
Cost: To be announced
