Live Online Virtual Classroom
lectures will be held leading up to the June 2012 exams:
Details to be announced but
will include a series of 6 lectures for Financial Decision Making,
plus live lectures for most other subjects.
We use WizIQ virtual
classroom which enables participants to see both the lecture notes or
powerpoint and the tutor. It also enables students to ask questions or
participate using a messaging box on screen. Students are
invited to join the live lectures for subjects for which they are enrolled
but will need a computer with sound and video capability and a broadband
connection. If you cannot attend the live lecture, you can view the
recording later or download it.
The Final Chartered
Secretaries Case Study Module
This modules involves a pre
seen case study plus additional material which is provided during the
examination. You must have passed or be exempted from all other modules
before this final exam can be undertaken.
“This module does not have its own syllabus
as it is drawing on knowledge from all syllabuses at Levels One and Two.”
For those of you having passed one or more of
the Level 1 and 2 subjects this implies a lot of revision and for those of
you on fast track, a lot of background reading. We will solve this conundrum
in this course.
Alan has developed a special
course for this module which includes sections on: The Chairman's Toolkit,
The Stakeholder's Toolkit and The Consultant's Toolkit.
The pre-seen case study will be released six
weeks in advance of the exam. Once we have this, the fourth and final
mailing will be produced.
All mailings include assignments
which you can send in for marking. Contact us for an outline and more
details.
The ICSA textbook is only
available from ICSA publishing as a pdf download - it mainly focuses on the
technique needed to deal with a case study. We include two additional books
with our training course - Managing by H Mintzberg and The FT guide to
Understanding and Interpreting Company Accounts by W McKenzie.
ICSA studytext in pdf is available from ICSA
publishing:
www.icsabookshop.co.uk
There will also be a
Campbell's revision weekend in London in which students will spend one day
revising strategy, law, management, governance, CSP, accounts etc and one
day looking at the pre-seen element of the case study in depth.
