These Qualifications are global offshore industry qualifications, established, regulated & controlled by ICSA, an internationally recognised Chartered Professional Body. The ICSA Certificate and Diploma in Offshore Finance and Administration are recognised within the different jurisdictions as appropriate qualifications for those working in the offshore sector. They aim to provide a broad perspective of the industry and promote a high degree of operational knowledge. Campbell's College is a registered tuition provider of ICSA courses.

ICSA Certificate in Offshore Finance and Administration (COFA)

The Certificate is a foundation qualification which provides an introduction to the offshore finance industry for administrators in offshore businesses. There are no formal entry requirements but you should work in a relevant job.

The four COFA modules are: Offshore Business Environment, Trust and Company Principles, Accounting Fundamentals, Investment. Syllabus summary

ICSA Diploma in Offshore Finance and Administration (DOFA)

The Diploma builds on the underpinning principles of COFA. It is aimed at those with experience of the offshore industry who wish to develop their knowledge further. Entry requirements: successful completion of COFA or other equivalent qualifications.

The four DOFA modules are: Offshore Trusts and Companies Administration, Business Management in Practice, Governance and Reporting, Portfolio Management. Syllabus summary

Campbell's College currently offers the following courses for COFA and DOFA:

Gibraltar: Evening courses at Bleak House. Courses for July 2010 exams start on 13th April. Revision tba.

Belize & The Caribbean: Subjects for July 2010 will be COFA Trusts and DOFA Offshore Trusts - by distance learning with internet virtual classroom sessions.

Distance learning is available for students in the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Eire, Mauritius, Caribbean and all other offshore centres. Two different distance learning plans. Plenty of lecturer contact and feedback! Updated courses will start in April.

COFA Trust & Company Principles: New integrated distance learning + internet virtual classroom sessions & revision for July 2010 exams.

To enrol for the programme, you need to do the following:

  • Register with ICSA - Before starting a course of study, students must register with the examining body, the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) - you pay a fee to ICSA for each module.  Full details of this offshore qualification can be found on the ICSA website along with syllabus details and entry points. All the necessary ICSA registration forms can be downloaded from their site. www.icsa.org.uk

  • Register for a course of study with Campbell's College - check details of courses in your area and print out the enrolment form.

Assessment - Exams are set and marked by ICSA and are held at offshore centres around the world in February and in July.

Results are both posted to candidates and available on the ICSA website about eight weeks after the exams.
