Campbell's
College began as a partnership in 1991 and incorporated in 1994. The first lecture ever
given was in Guernsey using the boardroom of a leading bank.
Since then we have expanded and now have students around the world.
Our head office is in Kent.
We specialise in Corporate
Administration and Governance, focusing on training for professionals,
in particular on The Board, The Company
Secretary and Offshore regulations. Our courses were developed in
conjunction with our students and we continue to monitor quality and incorporate new ideas
into our training methods.
Campbell's College is headed
by Alan Campbell.

Alan Campbell,
Our
Managing Director and lecturer is a product of World War Two. His father drove a
tank into his mother's village in Holland. In attempting to blow up a water tower
believing it to be a nest of snipers he missed and put the shell through the upper bed
room of his future mother in law. Marriage to the daughter was an obvious result. (The
water tower is still there).
After graduating from the University of Kent, Alan Campbell decided to seek
adventure in the South Seas. Complications in form filling resulted in his
becoming a lecturer in the National Institute of Public Administration in
Zambia teaching civil servants, magistrates, police officers and
accountants. He became a father, national examiner and political speech
writer on the way! What was meant to be
a short stay, ended up as twelve years. He returned to the UK in 1984 around
the world with his two sons. |

Janemaria Hamilton
is our Administration Manager, website and IT manager and student advisor.
Jane lives in Hertfordshire and through the wonders of the internet manages
much of Campbell's administration from our second office. She has a
science background but has been with Campbell's College as Administration
Manager since 1996. Spare time is spent renovating a beautiful 18th Century cottage,
walking the dog and learning to read ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphs. Congratulations
on her recent engagement to a fellow Egyptophile! |

Vivien
Campbell (Peralta)
is our
Gibraltar lecturer and co-ordinator for the COFA/DOFA courses that are
running successfully in Gibraltar. Along with numerous In-House training
courses, she introduced to Gibraltar a wide range of professional
qualifications. She is also responsible for Business Law in Practice at the
diploma level and Corporate Administration at the professional level. She is
a qualified corporate and industrial lawyer that on rare occasions still
practices, a Member of the Institute of Legal Executives, Fellow of the
London Institute of Commerce and a qualified law lecturer. These
qualifications were achieved entirely by distance learning, whilst bringing
up her family. She has been with Campbell’s College for 8 years and recently
married Alan Campbell.Previous to this she was a lecturer for the Gibraltar
Government and an examiner for the ICSA. Her experience gives her an insight
into how students approach the examinations. This wealth of experience is
now dedicated to helping others achieve their goals. |
 |
Jim Skinner, our accounts specialist,
was Head of School
for Business Studies at a College of Further Education and has many years experience of
teaching accounting for professional courses. Having successfully completed professional
examinations himself he is aware of the difficulties in studying Financial Accounting. Jim
is married with three children who you may very well hear in the background when you call
for help. |
 |
Jennifer
Rose began her working life as a Librarian, only studying for the
ICSA examinations as a mature student! Having worked through all the ICSA subjects, she
has first hand knowledge of the difficulties her students may experience from time to
time. Whilst qualifying she was promoted to the position of Assistant Company Secretary of
a UK listed PLC where, for ten years, she was in charge of all compliance matters; the
maintenance of the share register; the administration of the companys employee share
scheme and Secretary to the companys Charitable Trust. Having studied through
Campbells College, she was delighted when approached by Alan to become part of the
team and finds the work personally challenging and rewarding. |
